ABB Telecom Limited , henceforth referred to as ABB considers your use of its Websites, Services, and Products to be private. However, we may access or disclose information about you, your account and/or the content of your communications, in order to:
- comply with the law or legal process served on us;
- enforce and investigate potential violations of a service or product contract; including use of a service or product to participate in, or facilitate, activities that violate the law; or
- protect the rights, property, or safety of ABB, its employees, its customers or the public.
We may use technology or other means to protect a Website, Service, Product or Customer, or to stop you from breaching a contract. These means may include, for example, filtering to stop spam or increase security.
In order to provide you with efficient Services and Products, we may collect certain information about service and product performance, your machine and your service and product use. This data will not personally identify you.
Anti-spam policy
ABB prohibits the use of its Services and Products in any manner associated with the transmission, distribution or delivery of any unsolicited bulk or unsolicited commercial eMail ("Spam").
You may not use any Services or Products to send Spam. You also may not deliver Spam or cause Spam to be delivered to a Service, Product or Customer of ABB.
In addition, eMail sent, or caused to be sent, to or through any Service or Product may not:
- use or contain invalid or forged headers;
- use or contain invalid or non-existent domain names;
- employ any technique to otherwise misrepresent, hide or obscure any information in identifying the point of origin or the transmission path;
- use other means of deceptive addressing;
- use a third party's internet domain name, or be relayed from or through a third party's equipment, without permission of the third party;
- contain false or misleading information in the subject line or otherwise contain false or misleading content;
- fail to comply with additional technical standards described below; or
- otherwise violate the applicable Terms of Use for the Services.
ABB does not permit or authorise:
- the harvesting, mining or collection of eMail addresses or other information from or through its Services or Products;
- others to use its Services or Products to collect, compile or obtain any information about a customer or subscriber of ABB, including but not limited to subscriber eMail addresses, which are strictly confidential and proprietary information; and,
- any attempt to use its Services or Products in a manner that could damage, disable, overburden or impair any aspect of any of its Services and Products, or that could interfere with any other party's use of any of its Services and Products.
If ABB believes that unauthorised or improper use is being made of any Service or Product, it may, without notice, take such action as it, in its sole discretion, deems appropriate, including blocking messages from a particular internet domain, mail server or IP address. ABB may immediately terminate any account on any Service or Product which it determines, in its sole discretion, is transmitting or is otherwise connected with any eMail that violates this policy.
Unauthorised use of its Services or Products in connection with the transmission of unsolicited eMail, including the transmission of eMail in violation of this policy, may result in civil, criminal, or administrative penalties against the sender and those assisting the sender.
Nothing in this policy is intended to grant any right to transmit or send eMail to, or through, its Services or Products. Failure to enforce this policy in every instance does not amount to a waiver of ABB's rights.
